::::: straw cubes was easy material to build with
The workshop was an independent students’ initiative based on an assumption that instead of talking about the public space, we should let people make it, and treat these creations as the mean of communication. The aim was also to break up with the theoretical students’ projects scheme, that never get out of the paper and experiment with models in 1:1scale.
:::: the building site had some places to discuss and design
The construction material was straw formed in cubes, easy to deal with and ecological (they were all returned to the farmer after the event). As a result no-man’s land turned into a lively and constantly changing arena of ideas, full of inspiring talks, opening some minds on the other dimension of the architectural creation.
